Picking Berries
At Grandma's House
Stepanie, Janine and Angie
We go out to pick the berries for
homemade jams and jellies,
But come back with purple fingers
and the berries in our bellies

This picture is a special one to me. My mom had decided to dress her grandchildren in prarrie bonnets before searching for the berry patch. Pictured are my daughter Stephanie, and two nieces, Janine and Angie. Picture taken around 1975-76 :)
I believe Mom was selling them in her consignment shop. I forgot about this and love the picture of the girls.
ReplyDeleteI know, isn't it the cutest! ...was looking through old pictures today and came across this..I think you can right click and print it off sis...the color was so faded, I had to make it black and white. I think I will make a framed picture from this.
ReplyDeleteAwwww ~ we are so cute! :)
ReplyDeleteAdorable picture of your girls...and a great memory! I see janine is missing some teeth in hers..LOL
ReplyDeleteI just love reading your blog! May I add a link to it from my blog? Hugs, Linda
ReplyDeleteThanks Linda!...You sure can add my addy to your blog. I see you also are an RN and chemoangel...a very remarkable profession. I used to do so in outpatient at the hospital, though I mainly worked in Pediatrics. (I now retired and prn in a nursing home.)
ReplyDeleteWhen we'd "come home" in the summer the kids would, after hugging Grandma June, take off for the garden and berries. Then we'd have fun removing the stains!
