Seeing the neighbor kids , outside having fun playing in our first snow fall ,reminds me of years ago, the "Lee Center gang sledding down Alice Parlin's and McNinch's Store hillsides . Great memories! Wheeee! Mom had to go to McNinches store to get more food!!(LOL) I remember how we went to the big hill by Alice Parlins. Cannot believe parents let the kids do it as there was a cistern covered by wooden boards. We were warned not to sled there and no one was ever hurt. Remember the "pond" out in the field in back of our house; must have been a low place that flooded. I would "skate" there in my boots, we made our own fun in those days.
