Mom told me a story about Tillie. When they first moved to Lee Center they were invited to a dance. Mom didn't have any nylons (which in that day must have been a must) and didn't have spare money to buy any. Tillie loaned her a pair so she and dad could go. Now that is a real Linda Rose I wanted to share this photo with you.. Mom once told me that when she and dad married, he brought his new bride to live at the Wellman house in Lee Center. Tillie would become mom's best friend, teaching her how to cook, garden, sew and they shared many stories, raising their families . .No doubt, this photo was taken during a time they both were enjoying this new found friendship and would continue for many years...both in Heaven now and I know we miss them both...such a great photo to chance upon..and wanted to share it with you..One thing I always remembered about your grandma, The Brasel family always had their Christmas tree up first of December, and we would drive mom nuts asking why we couldn't have our tree up yet..LOL I also remember sitting in the window sill, watching Jackie and Bob's wedding reception at the house..we had good memories when your grandma would be watching you..and let us come over to play. Remember how jack would have nuts stored in the wooden trough in the basement and we would eat them?? and the goose eggs we found in the barn?
