gardening inside, during the cold winter months ahead...

Summer has come to an end and we are presently enjoying a lovely Indian summer. It is sunny this week with warmer temperatures. The weather man has warned us though, that this will be short lived, and colder temps soon to arrive.  We brought out the grow lights  and set up a place in the basement laundry room  to  keep our geraniums and mom's English ivy. I cut them back yesterday, and hopefully by Spring they will be alive and well!I also have a container with herbs to cut back and bring in yet.  This is where I also start new seed for the garden in the early spring . It is always nice during the cold winter months, to go into the laundry room and be greeted by blooming flowers.
