Aunt Donices Quick Kuchen

We had a huge crop peaches last summer, so  I thought I would share Aunt  Donice's kuchen recipe. Mom  used her mother's  German recipe of a sweet yeast dough which was good also. This is a quicker way and as delicious!

2 cups flour
2 T sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup butter
2 cans peach halves drained and patted dry
1 cup brown sugar
1 tsp ground cinnamon
2 egg yolks beaten
1 cup heavy whipping cream

in bowl combine first four ingredients , stir and add butter  cut it in until crumbly)  Press onto bottom  and 1  1/2  inch up the sides of a greased spring form pan.Place pan on a baking sheet. Arrange peaches, cut side up in the crust. Combine brown sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle  Bake 350 over peaches,
. Bake 350 degrees for 20 min.  Combine egg yolks and cream, pour over peaches. Bake 20-25 minutes  longer until top is set. cool on wire rack. Refrigerate left overs.

I remember when Donice would make this when summer peaches ripened.
... tasted wonderful!
