sister chatter remembering piano lessons

Early am chats by text get funny with my two sisters Helen and karen ~    saving this one  which is priceless !

Helen: The owner of Super Value plays only Christian music. I saw him stocking shelves one day and complimented on the music. He said many people have said the same thing. Praise be to God!!

Karen : Jerry played music almost all the time. He would wear headphones at night to not wake me. He’d sit at the kitchen table and sing songs out of  the hymnals. His faith was so strong. He enjoyed all types of music.

Helen : He lived his faith ❤️ 

 Cindy : the most faithful man I knew! 

Karen: Well at least now he can sing on tune! Lol

Helen: 😂I can’t sing on tune also.

Cindy : Helen. Your gift was piano. I remember you playing Tea for Two 😴  Tea for two ! 

Karen: Tea for two and two for tea. She practiced it over and over and over. The flight of the bumble bee was something else😁

Helen: 😂I was a terrible piano player. I was so bad that Dad couldn’t stand to hear me practicing. I have small hands, couldn’t reach the keys anyway. 

Cindy : He sent me and the dog to the garage to practice on the French horn.   Both the horn and the howling dog. Ha !!

Helen:  Did I play Flight of the Bumble bees?  Did I play that? My memories of playing the piano are forgettable 😂

Cindy. :  yes we heard it a lot. You were pretty good tho 

Karen. I think our piano teacher gave that to the family they least liked , as it would drive us crazy.

Helen: Dad didn’t think so!! Mom tried but I didn’t have the “gift”. I dreaded going to piano lessons with Mrs. XXX. ; I loved her house though.🤪 Dad chopped up the piano when we got rid of it; it’s a wonder it didn’t go through the floor as it was so heavy.

Karen :  I was scared of Mrs XXX  and her metronome. Didn’t like playing the piano at all. 

Cindy: I  remember dad chopping up that piano like he  was enjoying it. Lol. On the front step by the door.  He had me help carry the pieces to the burn pile   I love hearing music. But that is all. Mom tried !  Lol 

Helen : I remember that metronome, I found it fascinating. I didn’t like her either. Wonder what Mom paid her for our lessons?

Karen: Too much!    

Cindy  :  Mrs Xxx  tapped my fingers with her conductor stick or struck the key board to count for me ,,,or to take me out t. Not sure which. I was AWFUL. !

Karen : I remember the stick too

Consensus...   she was a bad teacher and the Wellman girls not  musicians !  Lol lol
