we had a great time with the grandkids yesterday . Went to Micheals fun world in the QC and then to the apple barn in Hillsdale. the kids fed the goats and donkeys apples and then had one thems Cindy ,
From helen~Thanks so much for posting that picture of our family. I remember how we all had to hustle around to go to the appointment in Dixon. Thanks to Mom it happened. Sure wish we all could have found more time for each other then. Life was busy with raising family, work,and I think by that time I had Tammy to help out. Isn't Don the handsome dude with his beard and mustache? We all look so young. Was talking about Dad today; life dealt him a bad hand, he was a great Off the Dar and Craig's fish fry...as soon as the scallop potatoes are done..also made a cherry pie( cherries from our tree this summer) went to some great rummage sales this am and special appt.. came across new in box 2 ft by 4 ft ceiling tiles for 5.00 never opened! also an alarm cock radio like new, serving trays gold guilded that would be great for serving communion at the FG nursing home. , new linen table cloth 50 cent, a bunch of like new Christmas bows to use on our porch this Christmas, and like new tuperware bowl/lid,and a few other things...it was a good day! oh yes...and a new Halloween withch dress for , my life sized porch sitting witch .w ell the timer just went off for the stove...got to Beautiful Cindy. I remember laying on the floor looking at the village Mom had under her christmas tree. I could almost see the little skaters skating on the mirror pond. I think I fell asleep on the floor that Christmas. It is forever etched in my memory. She made Christmas so special. I have a village under my tree; I bought the pieces from Uncle Radis sale after he passed away. I children sure enjoy it; a barn with animals; a church, a pond with skaters and sledders and a windmill. I have my original manger scene, and the carolers I bought the first Christmas we were married. I decorate my tree with the ornaments that I have gathered over the year, enjoy putting them up as it brings back so many memories. Hard to believe that Thanksgiving is next week;we have it at our place, so much easier for us. Happy Thanksgiving Sisters!! Nov 2019
